Privacy Policy

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

What we collect and why

Identity and Access

When you sign up for SQLitePilot, we ask for identifying information such as your email address. That’s so you can personalize your new account, and we can send you invoices, updates, or other essential information.

Billing Information

If you sign up for a paid plan, you will be asked to provide your payment information and billing address. Credit card information is submitted directly to our payment processor and does not hit SQLitePilot servers. We store a record of the payment transaction for account history, invoicing, and billing support.

Product Interactions (Connections & Keys)

To provide our service, we must store the connection details (Host IPs, Usernames) and SSH Keys you provide. These are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols. We use this data strictly to facilitate the connection between your browser and your database.

We also store audit logs of the queries you run for your own history and team compliance. These logs are private to your account.

We’ll never sell your personal information to third parties, and we won’t use your name or company in marketing statements without your permission either.

How we secure your data

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. Your database connections are tunneled securely via SSH.

Crucially, sensitive credentials (like SSH Private Keys) are encrypted in our database. We go to great lengths to secure your data at rest.

When we access or disclose your information

  • To provide the service: We use third-party subprocessors (like cloud hosting providers) to run our application.
  • To help you troubleshoot: If you ask for help with a connection issue, we may ask for your permission to look at your logs. We will not access your database contents without express permission.
  • When required by law: We will only disclose data if compelled by legal process (court order, subpoena). It is our policy to notify affected users before we disclose data unless legally prohibited.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, we grant you the same rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information is collected.
  • Right to Access & Correction: You can access and update your account information at any time.
  • Right to Erasure: You can delete your account and all associated data (connections, logs, keys) at any time via the dashboard.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your content (connections, keys, logs) will be immediately inaccessible and purged from our active systems within 60 days.

Changes and Questions

We may update this policy as needed to comply with regulations and reflect any new practices. If we make significant changes, we will notify users who have signed up.
